Ballard Vale Community Pantry & Fridge
Our 24-hour, self-serve Community Pantry and Fridge program is hosted at Ballard Vale United Church, 23 Clark Rd in Andover, MA. Since its launch in September 2022, it has received numerous daily visits from donors and recipients alike, with people contributing what they can and taking what they need. This community resource is convenient, safe, anonymous, and reflects the best of giving from neighbor to neighbor. On average, 2,500 pounds of food moves through the pantry every month, but it is clear that the need is greater than we are currently supplying. Village Food Hub will not only use our rescue efforts to supply this pantry with additional food, but will also create opportunities for more pantries like this one in other areas.
